Expert Witness

Where building or land disputes occur between parties we can help. Whether disputes have occurred as a result of alleged defective or sub standard building work, or as a result of identified non compliance with Planning or Building Control laws, we are qualified to assist as an independent expert witness.

On instruction, all actions undertaken by us will be in strict compliance with the RICS Practice Statement & Guidance Note 'Surveyors Acting as Expert Witnesses 4th Edition February 2023'.

We will look pragmatically at the details of the dispute and provide a written formal report which will comply with the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) including but not limited to Practice Directions 1, 31 and 35; Overriding Objective, Statements of Truth and Disclosure and Instructions respectively.

We have experience in all aspects of the role, including acting as Single Joint Expert (where two parties agree to the appointment of a sole expert), Surveyor Advocate and operate in the capacity of Witness of Fact.

Services include assessment. formal report production and attending Court, if required.
