Paul became a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in 1997, and is a practicing Chartered Building Surveyor. He has worked within the Building Industry, Land and Property sectors for 27 years, during which time he has amassed experience and knowledge which has enabled him to best serve his varied clients and meet their requirements. He established PSB Consultancy & Design Ltd in 2007, having been an Equity Partner previously in Private Practice.

Drawing upon this wealth of practical and theoretical knowledge of residential, commercial and industrial buildings, Paul offers his clients a pragmatic and rounded professional level of expertise in all aspects of core Building Surveying disciplines and property surveying.

Paul has a natural flair for creativity and building design, coupled with a healthy interest in architecture, spatial awareness and Town Planning, and he also oversees the Architectural Design division of the practice, engaging with clients wishing to develop, extend, regenerate or convert their real estate. He acts on the clients behalf at all stages from procurement through to Practical Completion, with continual focus on quality and delivery of the solution.

Paul is an active member of the Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors, holds the Freedom of the City of London by redemption and is an enthusiastic Liveryman of the City. He is also a member of the Independent Surveyors and Valuers Association.

Aside from his passion for all things built environment, Paul’s personal interests include rugby, golf, travelling, most things French, all things North Norfolk, food and cooking, fine wine, conservation and the natural world.

His professionalism and proven ability to deliver against core qualifications coupled with a personality that is confident and warm means that the practice can effectively deliver the full diversity of property related services.

Melanie joined the practice in September 2009. A consummate professional, with a delivery and results focused approach, Melanie has years of experience in managing diverse teams to deliver both simple and highly complex projects in tight timescales. Understanding the ethics and theories of task/team/individual, Melanie is able to ensure that her team works as a close knit unit to deliver highly effective and successful projects. Melanie has led corporate real estate teams within financial services to drive innovation and transform the workspace environment, delivering tangible outcomes.

With specific attention to the detail, Melanie understands the need for the client to be in complete control without having to provide daily attention to the minutiae, and always works hard to step into the client’s shoes and ensure quality and budget are never compromised.
